Infociti
Digital Advertising Space Rental on Kiosks
Infociti is a project developed for the city of Taipei, Taiwan, aiming to provide an accessible and affordable advertising space. This service allows anyone to display advertising media on kiosks strategically located in the Xinyi district of Taipei.
Note: For this project, my role focused on creating the user interface and developing the user and admin systems. The aspects related to physical kiosks and broadcasting were handled by a specialized team.
My work involved designing a mobile application and a web application that allow clients to send their media for display at scheduled times. I also developed an admin interface to enable moderators to validate content before it is displayed.

How It Works
Account and Project Creation
Users start by creating an account on the platform, then initiate a new project.
Media Upload
From their device or via cloud integration, users can upload one or more media files they wish to display.
Selecting Kiosk and Screens
Users select the kiosk where they want to display their media. Each kiosk has two screens (front and back), and each screen can be divided to allow dual display.
Scheduling
Users choose the desired display time slot and duration. Slots are segmented into 30-second intervals, and users can reserve as many as needed, subject to moderator validation.
Order Validation
Once the choices are made, users confirm their order, and moderators review submitted files for validation.
Broadcasting
After validation, the files and schedules are sent to the team responsible for kiosk broadcasting.
A Rewarding Experience Despite Challenges
Working on this project was a rewarding and exciting experience. Being able to develop web and mobile solutions with visible impact in Taipei streets, seen by thousands of people, was a real achievement. However, the Covid crisis unfortunately affected the project's viability, as Taipei's streets were deserted for an extended period.
